Easy 3D Prints is operated by Winnipeg Prototyping Inc. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- When you join the launch list. Your email address, the date you signed up, your position in the list and the discount code we issued you.
- When you place an order. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, what you ordered, and the note you leave telling us what you would like in your box.
- When you request a quote. Your name, email address, shipping country, the quantity, your message, and any files or links you send us.
- When you use the chat assistant. The questions you type into the chat on our website.
- Payment details. Card details are entered on our checkout but go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data. Standard web server logs, cookies needed to keep your cart and session working, and analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site (see below).
Why we use it
To take payment, print and pack your order, ship it, answer your questions, prepare quotes, and email you about your order. If you joined the launch list we email you your discount code and let you know when we open. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Analytics, spam protection and chat
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. Google collects information like your browser, device, pages visited and approximate location, and uses cookies to do this. This information is processed by Google and may be stored outside Canada. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Spam protection. Our quote form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. reCAPTCHA looks at how you interact with the page and sends that information to Google. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Chat assistant. The chat assistant on our website is powered by OpenAI. What you type in the chat is sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. We do not save chat conversations on our website, and OpenAI does not use this data to train its models by default. Please do not share payment details or other sensitive information in the chat. Who we share it with
- Stripe and WooPayments (by WooCommerce) process payments.
- Shipping carriers receive the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.
- Hostinger hosts this website and our email.
- Hostinger Reach stores launch list contacts and sends those emails.
- Google provides website analytics and spam protection on our forms.
- OpenAI generates replies in our website chat assistant.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years because Canadian tax rules require it. Launch list entries are kept until you ask us to remove them. Files you send us for printing, including through the quote form, are deleted once your order is complete or once we no longer need them to answer your quote.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask to come off the launch list at any time by writing to us. We may need to keep order records even after you unsubscribe, for tax purposes.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and payment details go straight to Stripe. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Children
This shop is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
